The Inclusive Education Trust (IET) is looking to appoint a full time, permanent, Lead Teacher for the Aspire Project from January 2025. The Aspire project forms part of the Alternative College Hub (ACH) based on the Therfield School site in Leatherhead. The Alternative College Hub houses several provisions that IET operates to support young people at risk of permanent exclusions. At the current time The IET Alternative College and Aspire Project operate within the Hub. The role will require you to:
* Work alongside the Head of the AC Hub taking a leading role in the day to day running of the Aspire Project, working in collaboration with the Lead Teacher for the Alternative College.
* Work strategically alongside the Head of the AC Hub in developing the project offer, ensuring the best outcomes for students.
* To take a leading role in working collaboratively with referring mainstream schools.
* Take responsibility for the organisation of the CPD schedule for all staff working on the Aspire Project, in collaboration with the Lead Teacher for the Alternative College and in consultation with the Head of AC hub.
* Keep up to date with developments in Education and share these with other staff as appropriate.
Able to teach Maths and Citizenship although other subjects will be considered.
* Passionate about inclusion and making sure all students gain an inspirational education.
* An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of students' achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality learning for all young people.
* Able to maintain and drive forward outstanding standards whilst meeting the needs of a very vulnerable group of students.
* An excellent communicator, able to work inclusively with students, staff, parents, Local Governance Board and other stakeholders.
* Committed to working collaboratively as part of a team.
* Positive, honest, open and responsive to change with a good sense of humour.
