We’re looking for a Payroll & Bookkeeping Assistant to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who is experienced in payroll and eager to develop their skills in bookkeeping while working with a variety of clients. What will we give you?
1. Your Salary will be between £25,000 and £29,000 depending upon your experience level – open to discussion for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:
1. Process payroll for a wide variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
2. Manage payroll deadlines for the firm as a whole
3. Help manage client queries regarding payroll and bookkeeping/VAT matters
4. Stay up to date with payroll regulations and accounting best practices
5. Assist in preparing daily bookkeeping for a wide variety of clients
6. Support bookkeeping, reconciliations, and VAT returns
7. Work closely with senior accountants and clients to provide excellent service
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in payroll essential, bookkeeping or VAT desirable (AAT or similar qualification preferred but not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally
* Familiarity with accounting and payroll software (e.g., Xero, Dext, Xenon, Brightpay, NEST, Go Proposal) is a plus
