Position Overview
The Supply Chain Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient supply chain processes and systems. This role involves analyzing current supply chain structures, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions that enhance the overall performance of the supply chain. The Supply Chain Architect will work closely with various departments to ensure that the supply chain infrastructure aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Design and Optimization:
Analyze existing supply chain processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Design and implement supply chain solutions that enhance efficiency, scalability, and resilience. Develop strategies for optimizing supply chain operations, including procurement, production, and logistics.
2. Technology Integration:
Identify and integrate advanced technologies (, ERP systems, supply chain management software, IoT, AI) to enhance supply chain capabilities. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.
3. Process Improvement:
Lead initiatives to streamline and harmonize supply chain processes and eliminate bottlenecks. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Risk Management:
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions. Conduct regular risk assessments and create contingency plans for critical supply chain components.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilize advanced analytical tools to gather and analyze supply chain data. Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to provide insights into supply chain performance and identify trends.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with demand planning, supply chain planning, procurement, production, logistics, finance, commodity management and other departments to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with overall business goals. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across functions.
Qualifications
7. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
8. Experience:
7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on supply chain architecture or design. Proven track record of designing and implementing successful supply chain solutions in a complex, global environment.
9. Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of the telecom and hyperscaler industries.
10. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (, SAP, Oracle). Strong knowledge of advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and data analytics tools.
11. Analytical Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform complex data analysis and make data-driven decisions. Experience in statistics is crucial.
12. Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
13. Project Management:
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
14. Certifications:
APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), SCOR-P (Supply Chain Operations Reference Professional), or similar certification is highly desirable.
15. Continuous Improvement:
Extensive experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
16. Global Supply Chain Experience:
Experience managing global supply chains.
