The Accounts Clerk will be able to complete day-to-day tasks in the accounts department, to ensure effective management of the accounts department to allow it to run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Work to and within the Eagle Platforms & Training Ltd company procedures, policies and regularly communicate with the Finance Manager.
* Competently use the company's accounting system, Xero, to be able to complete day-to-day tasks efficiently.
* Complete the company invoice batches, by preparing schedules on an Excel spreadsheet and balancing sales ledgers, to draw down funds from the bank.
* Complete credit control at a desired level to achieve the company’s target debtor days of 66 days and below (via email and telephone chase).
* Complete the company’s payroll each month, including sending payslips, and submitting the RTI and pension.
* Reconcile bank accounts accurately to ensure all payments are posted and reconciled, whilst monitoring cashflow.
* Attend any additional training in other disciplines to further develop and complement full skills set required for the role.
* Work effectively with the Company Accountant maintaining a well-run accounts department.
* Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping.
* Give support to other members of office staff as required.
* Timekeeping & Productivity.
* Ensure a safe working environment and maintain standards of Health and Safety, Environment and Quality.

* Experience in bookkeeping / Xero accountancy software.

Personal Specifications - Desirable:
* A “O Level” of ability for maths, literacy, and IT skills.
SALARY: £25,000.00 to £30,000.00 PA plus private healthcare and 24 days (32 including Bank holidays) paid holiday. Company pension.
