Job Description for Teaching Role with TP Tutors
TP Tutors are currently working with Schools and Local Authorities within the Leicester area. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives by helping them achieve their academic goals and improve attendance.
This role involves working closely with students on a 1-1 basis, providing high-quality sessions across various subjects to maximize their potential and engagement. It may also involve working with children outside of a mainstream setting.
Minimum Requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).
* Strong subject knowledge in your chosen subject’s curriculum (Primary, up to GCSE English and/or Math).
* Experience working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional needs.
* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one (support available).
* Professional references from your two most recent employers, covering 24 months within a 10-year career history.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning, creating, and delivering engaging sessions for children working below expectations.
* Applying behavioral strategies to ensure engagement.
* Understanding the child's needs and interests to create a child-centered learning approach.
* Assessing pupils, providing feedback, and planning next steps to enhance learning outcomes.

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with potential for permanency later.
