Job Description General Purpose/Objectives: Teledyne e2v is looking for a Business Development Manager to support new product business identification and release activity for semiconductor devices to Aerospace and Defense Electronics customers and adjacent high reliability markets. This position provides a unique opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense programs. Identify significant business opportunities for aerospace and defense semiconductors for e2v to increase revenue Produce IC obsolescence and semiconductor lifecycle solutions for legacy defense programs Resurrection of obsolete parts with e2v redesign capability Create business and product development plans, do opportunity assessments, initiate product kick offs, and assist with program management until product release Lead new product definition teams and define new products Develop product strategies, product positioning, and new product roadmaps Release new products to the high reliability market Work with our top customers, sales and representative teams, field applications engineers, and distributor partners. Provide technical training and design-in support for new business Interface with customers and field to understand market requirements Pricing strategy for new products Own revenue forecast and work in close coordination with sales teams on gap closures Understand competitive pricing and provide detailed competitive analysis Knowledge of end equipment and solutions for high reliability market Ability to identify new product line opportunities and provide coordination with partners to implement new suppliers into e2v value chain Ability to travel to customers and field offices worldwide to provide technical trainings and product/roadmap overviews, assist sales team, and obtain feedback on new product ideas Provide technical support to field and customers to solve application issues. Creation of marketing collateral, product roadmap definition, market communication material, white papers, application notes, and conference presentations Lead expansion strategies for different WW regions Long range product strategy and business growth Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience in A&D business development in semiconductor market Bachelor’s degree (BSEE.) or equivalent with some industry experience and background in semiconductor product marketing Strong communication and customer skills Must be able to work independently with limited supervision Working knowledge of IC development Familiarity with Military/DoD and Space programs, systems and processes Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with clients, team members, and management staff, including both DOD civilian and contractor personnel Marketing experience and MBA is a plus Fluency in English A valid passport Frequent travel to customer sites within the US and internationally (40% of the time) Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
