The Team
The MIS & Exams team is responsible for accurate, reliable and timely student management information, aiming to provide a high-quality, customer-focused, professional service that enhances the student journey from enrolment to achievement whilst adhering to strict funding body and examination regulations.
The Role
The Deputy Director of MIS will oversee and manage all data funding and information systems within Northampton College. Collaborating closely with the Director of MIS, the Deputy Director ensures compliance with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and other funding and regulatory bodies’ requirements, maximizes funding opportunities, and minimizes audit risks. This role involves providing accurate and timely management information to support effective decision-making across the College, enhancing the quality of education and operational efficiency.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities, and qualities will include:
* Degree or equivalent level in a relevant technical and/or numerate discipline or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.
* Experience of managing MIS teams in the FE sector.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and developing reports. Ability to use stored procedures and SSIS for automation.
* Experience delivering curriculum planning processes using software systems.
* Detailed understanding of funding methodologies.
