Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist manufacturer in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Process & NDT Manager for their operations. The Process Manager will oversee and ensure the quality and validation of products through robust inspection and process management. Acting as the business expert and Level 3 NDT specialist, the role involves maintaining compliance with relevant standards, managing critical processes (e.g., shot blasting, welding, painting, and inspection techniques), and driving process improvements to support business growth.Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 06:30 - 16:15 Friday: 07:45 - 12:45 Key Responsibilities: Serve as the business’s NDT Level 3 expert for UT and MPI techniques. Develop, maintain, and approve procedures to meet required standards/customer specifications. Collaborate with external NDT consultants to develop procedures for additional techniques. Set training and competency standards for the inspection team. Ensure all processes have up-to-date risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support operator training by ensuring trained assessors are available for all processes. Act as process owner for shot blasting, welding, painting, and all inspection techniques. Develop and implement improvement strategies for owned processes. Drive process improvements through non-capital and capital projects. Conduct root cause investigations for defects, processing failures, or non-conforming products. Investigate and address customer complaints related to process deviations. Ensure Management of Change (MoC) processes are followed for process adjustments. Skills and Experience Required: Level 3 qualification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI). Qualifications in welding and/or welding inspection. Extensive NDT experience in safety-critical environments. Detailed knowledge of a wide range of inspection techniques. 5 years of experience working in Lean manufacturing environments (desirable). Proven ability to manage and sustain controlled process changes.
