East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Financial Management team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking for a developing role in finance within a challenging NHS environment. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team and should be able to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise their workload accordingly to enable the team to be an effective, efficient and quality led service.
The individual would report into the Deputy Finance Business Partner and should also have the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance staff.
The main duties will include but not limited to:
- Working closely with budget holders in order to achieve and maintain financial control and financial balance within the clinical, corporate and commercial divisions/departments.
- Always acting to promote financial awareness across the Trust.
- To adhere to the challenging month-end timetable to ensure timely and accurate production of financial information and to maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Supporting colleagues in terms of understanding financial information and the financial consequences of decisions taken.
- Working co-operatively with other Management Accountants to ensure common standards of accounting practice are maintained within the department.
- Keep the Deputy Finance Business Partner informed of all significant issues across the divisions, which may impact on the financial performance of the Trust.
- To develop additional information to support financial management reporting.
