Trainee Service Engineer
Job Description:
As a Trainee Service Engineer, you will provide support to engineers servicing and repairing automatic doors at retail establishments. You will be responsible for regional servicing and maintenance, providing technical support with entry systems and automated doors, as well as general customer service. Candidates should be professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities. This position requires the ability to manage customer requests in a timely and effective manner.
Job Requirements:
1. Must have a valid driver’s license
2. Must have some engineering experience
3. Must have experience with related equipment
4. Must possess strong organizational skills, good time management skills, and basic data entry skills
5. Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ongoing support and technical assistance over the phone and on-site for technicians.
2. Participate in the engineer induction program.
3. Provide field management support.
4. Assist the Technical Training Manager when required.
5. Be available to work outside normal working hours when required.
PPM is scheduled for you, so your days will be structured. This position offers a good career route to management and senior engineer roles, along with a vehicle, fuel card, tools, laptop, phone, and uniform provided. A pension scheme and additional benefits are also included.
Compensation:
Great rates of pay with an OTE of £35-40k, including overtime and travel time. Pay ranges from £28,000.00 to £34,000.00 per year, with additional performance bonuses.
