What your role is
Reporting to the Customer Director and as a key part of the sales team, this role will be responsible for leading the key interface between General Mills UK and the Customer, the achievement of Company sales, share and profit goals, including maintaining and developing the growth of portfolio within this strategically important retail partner.
Naturally, this is a demanding role which will require drive, ambition, enthusiasm and creativity, combined with a high level of technical skills such as selling, negotiation, forecasting and commercial acumen. Candidates will also be expected to drive high levels of Customer intimacy.
An appetite for driving change is as important as being comfortable as the ‘owner’ of the portfolio’s performance. You will prepare and deliver an annual sales plan for the customer, while deliver financial and volume forecast accuracy on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Execute agreed promotional plans within defined investment budgets and continually refine by proactively identifying, evaluating and implementing revenue management opportunities.
Develop and recommend account strategies and tactics to maximize the sales and gross profit for both parties, by implement plans for excellent execution, leveraging internal and external networks, while leading Customer engagement initiatives as part of a cross-functional team.
What you will bring to the team
You will be operating as a National Account Manager or Business Account Manager within the FMCG, ideally, you will have current experience managing different categories into the UK&I retailers across the grocery channel.
You will have strong influencing skills and commercial acumen, with proven experience of delivering results through working in cross-functional teams. Confidence and ability to develop and present compelling sales presentations, and advanced forecasting and commercial modelling skills.
