About the Role:

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the voluntary carbon credits market. As the CFO, you will be responsible for driving the financial strategy of the company, overseeing financial operations, and supporting the leadership team in scaling the business. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex financial systems in renewable or clean tech companies, with specific expertise in voluntary carbon credits and sustainability finance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the financial strategy for a high-growth, innovative clean tech company.
* Oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to support the company’s growth and sustainability objectives.
* Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to define business goals and ensure financial alignment with the company’s vision.
* Provide strategic advice on capital raising, mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.
* Navigate the complexities of the voluntary carbon credits market, including regulatory considerations, pricing, and market trends.
* Lead the company’s financial reporting and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Manage investor relations and work with stakeholders to ensure financial goals and expectations are met.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience as a CFO or senior financial leader within the renewable energy, clean tech, or sustainability sectors.
* Proven expertise in the voluntary carbon credits market, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, regulations, and financial structures.
* A track record of success in financial management for companies at various stages of growth, preferably in high-tech or environmentally focused organisations.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, mentor, and inspire finance teams.
* Ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals and sustainability mission.
* Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, investors, and external stakeholders.
