This position will be based at The Quays /Coryton / Hybrid (A minimum 2 days in the office)
You will be required to support the SWTRA Head of Service and deputise as necessary, in the overall management of the South Wales Trunk Road Agent, with specific responsibility for the Highway maintenance and route custodian function. You will be a member of the SWTRA Senior Management team and be expected to be accountable and provide leadership, direction and operational management support to the Highways Maintenance section in achieving its maintenance and management objectives. To be responsible for the promotion, development and effective performance of the agent in the provision of a broad portfolio of high quality and sustainable Highways Maintenance services to ensure that the Strategic Road Network in South Wales is able to support the travelling public moving safely whilst providing reliable journey times This is achieved through the delivery of process and procedures to manage the delivery of routine and cyclic maintenance either directly or via our supply chain ensuring compliance with Welsh Government specification (Trunk Road Maintenance Manual) and consistency of service across South Wales Services within the Highways Maintenance Portfolio which you will be responsible for include: Routine and cyclic maintenance of all Highways and drainage assets Street Lighting Traffic Signals Intelligent Transport Systems/ Technology Assets (including Tunnel operations systems) Area Management and route custodian function including development control advice Management of the direct operational service delivery for the Central Region via the Trunk Road Services Division
Welsh Language skills are not required.
