New Opening: Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
We are excited to open applications for our Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship program, designed to nurture the next generation of electrical engineering talent. This role offers a unique blend of on-the-job training and academic learning, providing an excellent foundation for a successful career in electrical engineering within the construction industry. Based in our state-of-the-art facilities, this is a golden opportunity for individuals passionate about engineering, innovation, and sustainability.
Apprenticeship Overview:
1. Engage in comprehensive training programs combining hands-on experience with academic learning.
2. Work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical skills in electrical engineering.
3. Participate in projects focusing on innovation and sustainability in construction materials and practices.
4. Support the engineering team in designing, testing, and improving industrial processes and equipment.
5. Learn about and contribute to our sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and enhancing efficiency.
Typical Placement can include:
1. Following all relevant Company, Health and Safety & Quality procedures and processes.
2. Learning the principles of engineering both academic and practical.
3. Position, assemble, install and dismantle electrical plant and equipment, which will include motors, switchgear, cables & conductors, to agreed specifications.
4. Carry out planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance procedures on electrical plant and equipment.
5. Replace, repair and/or remove components in electrical plant and equipment and ensure its return to operational condition.
6. Installing/altering and repairing electrical distribution and cabling.
7. Assisting work managers with electrical problems at their sites.
8. Reporting any unsafe plant or operations to your line manager.

What you’ll need:
Our minimum entry requirements are:
1. 5 GCSEs Grade A*- C or 4-9, including Mathematics, English Language and Science.
2. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Aggregate Industries does not offer visa sponsorship for apprenticeship roles.
