Job:
We have an opportunity for a Project Manager, responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of projects. The position would be based at our offices in Malvern but there would be a requirement to travel and spend extended periods at customer sites.
This role would be primarily suited to someone who has experience of running multi-faceted projects with a mix of internal equipment and specialist contractors. A working knowledge of CDM would be advantageous to the role, with demonstrable skills in achieving tight project schedules. Ideally you will come from a back ground technical discipline and developed the required commercial skills to be an effective PM.
Reporting to:
Managing Director
Tasks:
o Initiate the project - check feasibility and work out budgets, teams and resources.
o Carry out planning - this will include setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks - in accordance with the needs of the client.
o Select, lead, and motivate the project team from both internal and external stakeholders.
o Manage the project - which includes coordinating the project team to keep them on track and keeping the project on budget.
o Carry out monitoring and control activities to track the progress of the project.
o Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time.
o Ensure that the client is aware of the 'milestone' timelines and encourage payment to the business once they have been fulfilled.
o Implement any necessary changes throughout the process.
o Report regularly to management and the client
o close the project - including evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for the next project.
Required Qualifications:
IOSH
Ability to write risk assessments.
COSHH
Project management certification.
Managing safety.
Ideally SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

o Technically minded with a solution-driven work ethic.
o Resilience & excellent communication skills both verbal & written at all levels.
o Ability to problem solve and make commercial decisions.
o Read & interpret engineering drawings.

o Ability to work on own initiative.
o Passionate about engineering.
o Ideally HNC / Degree level although experience is essential
