Are you looking for a new role where you can pursue your special interests while being supported by an established team, in a practice due a large expansion paying up to £75,000 (DOE, FTE)
You will be joining the practice at a very exciting time as it is due a large expansion nearly doubling in size and giving it a dedicated dental suite/imaging suite, 2 new consult rooms and a new colleague area, which will offer you space to relax!
The clinical team is supportive and very experienced with one small animal surgery certificate holder and another just completing their ECC certificate and with plans of the owner undertaking a dentistry certificate this year.
All CPD and certificates can be supported for the right candidate.
This is a full-time role, but they can be flexible with this and work a rota that would allow you a better work-life balance.
Will include 1 in 4 Saturdays, with no OOH or Sundays.
Excellent transport links to practice.
About us:
Wrexham is in the North of Wales, just inside the Wales/England border, close to areas of outstanding natural beauty either along the coast or inland like Llangollen if you are an adrenaline seeker. Wrexham has great infrastructure surrounding it, making it easily commutable from Chester, Liverpool, and Manchester, and perfect for days out. The practice itself is inside Pets at Home on Plas Coch retail park to the North of the city, which is well connected by local transport links.
Since our opening over 10 years ago we have grown a very loyal client base within the local community, and we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team and help to further grow our client base. We are a training practice so enthusiasm to get involved with supporting new colleagues would be desirable.
Our friendly team is currently made up of 4 Vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 VCAs, 3 Receptionists, and a Financial and Client coordinator who are led by our Practice Manager. This will offer you fantastic support and give you time to focus on your patients.
The role:
We are looking for a colleague to ideally join on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week (may also consider part-time), with Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a 1:4 rota basis, however there is no OOH or on call as we like our team to have established boundaries between work and life outside of work. We can also consider flexible working, so please do get in touch. Ideally you will have good general medical skills, confidence in all routine surgeries and be comfortable with sole charge.
Along with a salary of up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience, we can also offer a generous CPD allowance, professional memberships paid for (RCVS, VDS, BSAVA, BVA), certificate funding for the right candidates, 5.6 weeks holidays (which will increase to 6.6 after 2 years service) with an additional day off on your birthday and a paid lunch break. These are alongside the group benefits of store discount and a contributory pension scheme.
If you would like to find out more about this position or to apply, please contact Rach at northvet@vets4pets.com and someone will get back to you in 1 working day.
Location: LL11 2BA
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
