Senior Applied Clinical / Forensic / Counselling Psychologist:
Dudley Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT)
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Applied Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join the Dudley CRHTT. You will join a fast paced MDT environment to work in the least restrictive way to supportservice users presenting with acute and urgent care mental health needs. As the Psychologist, you will exercise your leadership skills in psychological assessments, formulation, care planning and brief psychological interventions.
The CRHTT teams in BCHFT are innovative services and have successfully launched a pilot in EMDR. We have strong links with local universities across the clinical, forensic and counselling courses. Relationships have been established with other organisations with connections into a national psychology group for Trauma Interventions in Acute Settings.
The successful candidate will be part of a group of urgent care Psychologists who are based across acute settings including CRHTT, in-patients, mental health liaison services and PICU. The successful candidate will be supported with supervision and opportunities for CPD.

Main duties of the job
Based in the Dudley CRHTT, you will join a team of multidisciplinary professionals in working with people experiencing a mental health crisis. With the 2 main aims of preventing hospital admission and facilitating early discharge you will offer assessments, formulation, care planning and short term interventions to clients with high levels of risk. Psychology also supports team members through regular reflective practice groups and supervision and this is highly valued by our MDT colleagues.
We are looking for someone who can work flexibly and creatively as a member of a multidisciplinary team who enjoys working in a fast paced environment .
We would welcome applications from newly qualified psychological practitioners who are keen to gain experience in urgent care settings and can offer band 7-8a developmental opportunities where appropriate.

1. oPost-graduate doctoral level training in applied Psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the BPS
2. oPost-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
3. oHCPC registration as An Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status
4. oTrained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
5. oEvidence of continuing professional development
6. oWorking as a qualified applied psychologist within a Mental Health service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across a range of care settings.
7. oKnowledge of Evidence- based practice relevant to the role of working with people's complex mental health difficulties
8. oRisk assessment and risk management
