This role is working with Parkinson's patients providing support in a community setting. The role sits within the Integrated Neurology service. Training will be given to develop your knowledge and understanding of Parkinson's. Main duties of the job
You will be working as part of the Integrated Neurology team providing specialist nursing intervention for patients with Parkinson's disease and associated movement disorders. The post holder will be expected to carry out comprehensive specialist holistic assessments and use their knowledge and skills to help manage the Parkinson's caseload with clinical support. Training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently in providing education and information, advice, and support to patients in their own home and within clinics, as well as remotely via phone calls or video conferencing.
As part of the role, you will be expected to liaise and work closely with other health care professionals in ensuring that patient care needs are met accordingly, and that care is delivered to a high standard.
The role will involve partnership working with the Consultant Neurologists and the Integrated Neurology team.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered General Nurse or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities
* Degree or Diploma with demonstrable relevant clinical experience and post-graduate training
* Evidence of further professional development particularly in relation to the patient group (e.g., neurological rehabilitation management or neurology)
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at the point of offer.

* Knowledge of current key NHS developments and policies and implications for service delivery
