Job Title: Respiratory Physiologist- Gateshead Banding : 6 or 7 Start date: 03/03/2025 Duration: 9 months Location : Gateshead Working Hours: Full time Rate : £ 28 - £ 36 per hour We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Physiologist to join our dynamic team in Gateshead. As a Band 6 or 7 Respiratory Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients. What will your responsibilities be: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a range of respiratory tests and assessments, including spirometry, lung volume measurements, and gas transfer tests. You will interpret test results, provide accurate reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. You will be involved in patient education, offering guidance on respiratory health and management strategies. Your expertise will also be essential in maintaining and calibrating respiratory equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Qualifications and Experiences: Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., RCCP or AHCS) Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS Proficiency in performing and interpreting a variety of respiratory tests Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to continuous professional development Knowledge of current respiratory care guidelines and best practices Why work with Pulse?
