WHAT TO EXPECT
Reporting to a CME Lead Process Engineer and to the CME Manager, this role will help support the department to effectively manage and control all current car engineering concerns within an allocated area of Final Assembly 3 at our Solihull plant.
This role will provide engineering and technical support to develop, implement and maintain manufacturing production processes and associated equipment to enable efficient manufacture of current products. This may include the creation and continuous improvement of process, quality problem solving, data analysis and reporting of key issues, deployment of failure mode avoidance tools and the support of cross-functional teams in the resolution of those issues.
Will also be able to understand and make strategic decisions on process equipment, delivery of tools, jigs & fixtures, and Control Plans alongside some production skills involving WES Change with validation and standardised work.
This role will expect you to be able to work alone on a day shift supporting production with any engineering concerns. This will involve supporting other line engineers with problem investigation, reacting to latest problems, and ensuring that CME can operate on a 24-hour basis with core responsibilities such as MTC & Warranty.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Production CME Process Engineer Supporting a specific area within manufacturing
2. Planning, developing, implementation and continuous improvement of all capable GSPAS (Global Study Process Allocation System) Processes for manufacturing
3. Quality Planning, Problem Solving and Analysis for Manufacturing
4. Management of technical issues
5. Planning, development, procurement and implementation of all Process equipment tooling, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. Experience of assembly operations
2. Flexible approach to job responsibilities and working hours
3. Demonstrable ability to create detailed and effective action plans
4. Strong Presentation Skills and ability to communicate information effectively
5. Access and understanding of all relevant CME Systems to be flexible enough to work and understand issues and resolve them
