Job Description
A well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy are currently recruiting a Clerk of Works to join their team. They provide a range of services including Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Client’s Representative services, Joint Venture Supervisor, Cost Consultancy, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and Clerk of Works services and cover a wide variety of sectors including commercial, retail, leisure, education, healthcare and residential projects up to £100M. They are now seeking an experienced and motivated Clerk of Works to oversee the quality and safety standards on residential construction projects.
Role & Responsibilities for the Clerk of Works:
1. Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
2. Ensure the work is carried out to the highest standard by reviewing materials, workmanship, and construction processes, and verifying compliance with the project documentation.
3. Ensure that all works are in compliance with local building regulations, planning permission, and other statutory requirements.
4. Produce detailed reports on the progress of work, identify any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
