Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in liaising with both office and customer and ensuring that the event on the day, in addition to the run up and close down, runs as smoothly as possible.
The skills and knowledge required is that of within the hospitality sector. This position requires strong organisational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for guest services.
The Coordinator will ensure that all initiatives align with our company’s goals and standards, particularly in hotel and restaurant environments.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and evaluate training programmes tailored to various roles within the organisation, focusing on hospitality and guest services.
* Liaise with event staff, directors, and clients.
* Upselling.
* Coordinate on the day teams.
* Coordinate training schedules, ensuring that all staff members have access to necessary training sessions without disrupting daily operations.
* Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and create customised training materials that address specific skill gaps.
* Maintain accurate records of employee participation.
* Support fundraising initiatives by providing training on relevant skills such as upselling techniques for staff involved in guest interactions.
Requirements
* Proven experience in an events role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of training sessions.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
* Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations is advantageous.
* A background in fundraising activities is considered a plus.
* A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages continuous improvement among staff.

Pay: £12.00-£20.50 per hour
