Role overview:
Environmental & Quality Coordinator: This role involves performing daily functions in line with the quality management system, with a particular focus on environmental aspects, to ensure ongoing business compliance.
Responsibilities
* Legislation Compliance: Ensure the business understands and complies with current legislation, capturing any changes within our Environmental Management Systems.
* Effective Communication: Communicate legislative changes throughout the business and retain related records as evidence of compliance.
* Compliance Audits: Audit compliance using our systems and cross-reference standards to maintain certification.
* Legislation Updates: Stay informed about changes to existing legislation and upcoming legislation, seeking professional support when necessary to keep the business up to date. Ensure relevant actions are taken in response to these changes.
* Material Monitoring: Monitor the use of all materials within the business, providing control methods for compliance and protecting workforce health and safety. Ensure the latest versions of material safety data sheets are available for reference.
* Customer Requests: Complete customer requests for information related to our environmental impact to support the bidding process.
* Quality Support: Support quality with in-process quality control inspections.
* Non-Conformance Logging: Log all instances of non-conformance.
* Nonconformity Administration: Administer all nonconformity to closure or concession.
* Concessions & Deviations Management: Manage all concessions and deviations arising from inspections.
Qualifications
* Literacy: Minimum grade B at GCSE English (or equivalent)
* Numeracy: Minimum grade B at GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
* IT: EUCDL, Clait, or equivalent; proficient in Word and Excel
* Ability to Read Mechanical & Electrical Drawings
* Quality Control Experience
