Job Purpose and Overview
The People Generalist will provide an operational People service, taking responsibility in all aspects of the HR Lifecyle, including providing end to end case management, supporting & guiding line managers in the implementation of people processes and effective people management.
What will you do as a People Generalist at Dawn Foods?
* Being the first point of contact for team members and managers, offering support & advice.
* Escalating complex cases to the People Business Partner, to provide solutions.
* Support the full recruitment process, from creating adverts, coordinating interviews through to preparing offer letters and contracts, references through to on-boarding.
* Organising engagement & wellbeing events for team members.
* Overseeing the full lifecycle administration process from maintaining team member records, managing the starter & leavers process and processing payroll changes.
* Manage / Support end to end payroll processes in the UK, ensuring accuracy.
* Updating People policies as needed in line with employment law changes.
* Support learning & development initiatives, events and training records.
* Uphold the “Dawn Values” and support organizational excellence.
What Does It Take to be a People Generalist at Dawn Foods?
* 1-3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
* Previous experience in a Manufacturing preferred.
* Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, to support Team Members on all shifts.
* Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative to perform duties independently or as part of a team.
* Basic understanding of the HR concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Ability to present effectively in various circumstances.
* Ability to deal with difficult situations involving sensitive and confidential team member issues.
* Ability to set and manage priorities to ensure that project deadlines are met.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Due to the nature of being located at a manufacturing facility, you will be required to be on site at least 4 days per week.
