Manager / Sr. Manager - Underwriting Analytics: Actuary – Reinsurance (Commercial Lines)
Location : London (2 – 3 days office visit per week in local client London Office)

Role & Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with technical teams to design, refine, and validate reinsurance pricing models, including exposure rating, treaty pricing, and cyber risk evaluation.
· Work closely with actuarial teams to integrate loss cost models, trends, and risk parameters into reinsurance pricing tools.
· Analyze large datasets to extract insights that drive improvements in reinsurance pricing and portfolio management.
· Use reinsurance pricing models to identify underperforming layers or treaties and recommend strategies for improvement.
· Collaborates with the Domain Lead(Ops & IT leads) and business partners to create product vision and alignment with strategic priorities with stakeholders. Contributes to the development of the program vision. Communicates product and portfolio vision to their team.
· Preference for Product Owners (POs) with actuarial experience and technical expertise in HX Renew, particularly in areas related to P&C and financial risk exposure rating.
· Accountable for developing and achieving product level KPIs. Manages product(s) (business products) with a moderate degree of strategy, scope, and complexity.
· Collaborates with technology and business leadership to align system/application development and business goals, priorities while working with stakeholders & squad/team. Resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently.
· Owns and maintains the product backlog and is accountable for its contents and
prioritization. Accountable for clear, actionable user stories using JIRA
· Sets priorities and actively participates in squad/team quarterly planning. Collaborates with more senior Product Owners to set priorities for program quarterly planning.
· Sets expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities. Participates in team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies.
· Works daily with the agile working group, clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and supporting alignment around product strategy.
· Monitors and maintains the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, and balancing long and short term and costs with desired outcomes.
· Analyzes and reports on feasibility, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product.
· Understands regulatory, compliance, and other industry constraints on the product and prioritizes accordingly. Negotiates with internal and external teams to ensure priorities are aligned across squads/teams both within and outside the portfolio.
Candidate Profile:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Few Actuarial Papers from IAI,IFOA or CAS preferred
· Considerable relevant industry or functional experience in P&C and Financial risk exposure rating
· Proven experience (4 - 12 years) as a Actuarial/Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in software development or technology industry.
· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and experience working in Agile environments.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively.
· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across team.
· Strong Presentation and leadership skills
· Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and software engineering concepts is a plus.
· Experience and Familarity around actuarial/insurance tools like Emblem/Radar, Systems like Guidewire, Dockcreek etc. is a plus.
· Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working with or in Agile teams
· Strong team-work, co-ordination, organization and planning skills
· Ability to capture complex requirements in a prioritized backlog
