Description An exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operations Manager in our customer fulfilment centre (CFC), Waitrose contract. The main focus of the role is to lead and inspire large teams of people across multiple shifts and processes. Providing visible leadership, you will focus on employee engagement to drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the CFCs performance; through a team of First Line Managers and Colleagues. Our partnership with Waitrose is a key strategic priority for Wincanton and allows us to bring together our substantial capabilities in Food Logistics, Home Delivery, Customer Experience and Online Fulfilment. It's an industry first as Wincanton will be the only third-party logistics provider in the UK to operate an online Grocery Customer Fulfilment Centre. A flexible approach to working hours will be required To manage the site as Duty Manager on a rotating basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week A flexible approach to working hours will be required Ensuring all Personnel policies and procedures are followed that enable Colleagues to be treated fairly and with respect in line with the Wincanton Principles. Deliver effective communication to your team and conduct regular individual reviews and where necessary agree a performance improvement plan. Where necessary, conduct disciplinary and grievance meetings ensuring adherence to all Company policies.
