About the opportunity You’ll be part of a core team leading or supporting UK Defence Modelling & Simulation Programmes, dependent on experience. Working with the appropriate Nova Systems teams to enable and support our customers to achieve Security classification approval (previously referred to as accreditation) of their Simulation and Synthetic Training systems. There will be a requirement to travel to client sites, these may include: Lincoln, Farnborough and Bristol areas. What are we looking for? Demonstrable experience and current knowledge of using JSP 440 and JSP 604 to achieve security approval (accreditation) and Authority to Operate (ATO) for IT/CIS systems in a MOD environment (preferably in a Training Environment and using Modelling and Simulation Tools). Knowledge of Secure By Design principles and implementation. Knowledge of network protocols and architectures SC security clearance UK National and ability to attain DV security clearance. Ability to frequently travel to client sites. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes Understanding of secure coding practices DV security clearance Knowledge of encryption algorithms and cryptographic protocols Modelling & Simulation experience Simulation Interoperability Standards including DIS and HLA. Experience using programming languages and scripting (i.e. C++, C#, Java, Python). Experience using, or understanding of COTS simulation, gaming products or specialist simulation tools including VR Forces, VBS2/3/4, MS Flight Sim, Prepar3d, Unity, Unreal, Xplane, FlightGear Training and on-the-job development in the specific area of Modelling and Simulation would be available for a suitable candidate.
