Facilities Assistant (Medical Records Driver)
We are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant Medical Records Driver to work across the trust footprint within Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Based at Birch Hill Hospital, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm.
Main Duties of the Job
The postholder will provide a Trust-wide courier service as part of the Trust's facilities team, which will include the delivery of medical records and patient notes.
The postholder will follow a daily delivery and collection schedule. They will also be trained to deliver porter duties to support within the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) locality as required. While primarily responsible for the Trust-wide courier service delivery, the postholder will also have the opportunity to train in cleaning and catering services as part of the wider facilities services delivered at Birch Hill Hospital. Full training will be provided to become a fully cross-trained Facilities Assistant at this site, which is optional.
1. To deliver medical records/patient notes to designated locations as per a daily route list.
2. To liaise with the transport team regularly to discuss the daily route, requirements, and any issues or priorities.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* NVQ 2 or equivalent experience plus full UK driving license.
* Experience of operating a vehicle and maintaining vehicle records.
* Experience operating a satellite navigation system for route planning when driving.
* Understanding of post/logistics and knowledge of basic health and safety.
* Experience of working in the NHS in a similar role.
* Experience of working in a delivery driver role.
* Knowledge of logistical planning techniques.
* Basic IT skills.
