Description
We are seeking a SEN Tutor to deliver tutoring to small groups and on a 1-1 basis within our Lutterworth Assessments Home and surrounding children's homes via outreach services. The role involves supporting vulnerable children aged 8-18 with SEMH and complex needs.
The role: We are looking for a qualified, committed, and motivated practitioner to enhance teaching and learning in our settings. Our approach focuses on results and providing high-quality, inclusive education that fosters skills and successful outcomes. Pupils may work towards qualifications such as Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSEs, ASDAN, or Unit Awards.
This position requires a flexible, enthusiastic, and child-focused individual who can inspire and challenge pupils. We value a can-do attitude, adaptability, innovation, and a sense of humor. We welcome applicants with diverse talents to enrich our curriculum and environment.
What we need from you:
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS, or equivalent
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or nearing qualification
* Experience working with young people with SEMH
* Experience in one-to-one or small group tutoring
* Passion for inclusion and resilience in challenging situations
* Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects
* Ability to plan, evaluate, and differentiate learning
* Strong relationship-building skills
* Organized, with effective time management
* Resilient, flexible, and personable
* Full UK driving license and own vehicle
* A good sense of humor
