SEMH Primary Teacher Job Summary: NextGen are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Primary Teacher (Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs) to join our educational team. Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to the varying needs of students. Employ effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. Provide support for students with special educational needs, including those requiring speech therapy or applied behaviour analysis. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their child's development. Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and respect among all students. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support the individual needs of students effectively. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in education. Be familiar with (or willing to complete) TeamTeach training coursesExperience Previous experience in special education or tutoring is highly desirable. Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs is advantageous.
