JOB DESCRIPTION
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 16 year old male who lives in Barry. I am very adventurous as I enjoy activities such as trampolining, swimming and walking. I enjoy watching YouTube and I love Mickey Mouse. I have ASD and nonverbal but can use a talk pad to communicate. I would like to have more freedom and independence to do activities I enjoy. I would like someone who can support and encourage me to make friendships.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the job is to support me in my home and out in the community allowing me to do activities I enjoy which will gain my independence. This will also give respite for my family. Car driver is essential and I will need to be picked up from school. I will need 2:1 support to ensure my safety.
HOURS OF WORK
4 Hours per week on a 2:1. To be worked Monday to Friday straight from school, flexible.
RATES OF PAY
£12.00 per hour plus mileage within the local area.
TASKS INVOLVED
· I may need help with locating the toilet but will use my talk pad to indicate this.
· I love doing activities but will always like to have food before doing this.

ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
