Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the Support team within ISP. The successful candidate will manage various support projects reporting to the Support Project Manager.
The primary role is to manage all aspects of the projects as the main point of contact, working with all functions to deliver the project scope in line with customer expectations and LCM processes to achieve the project schedule, cost and quality requirements. The role is based at Basildon with a majority of onsite working, some travel will also be required for customer meetings.
This role offers a great opportunity to enter into the Project Management function at an entry level, with all required training being provided on the job.
To manage and maintain the integrity of various support project(s), working with a number of internal functions including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Planning, Finance, Operations, Procurement and Commercial to ensure regular on-time completion of the project repairs and deliverables.
Apply budgeting techniques for forecasting of orders, sales, cash and project milestones in order to ensure accuracy against the project plan. Prepare and present the project summary report within the monthly PPRP reviews. Monitor the forward load working with Project Controls to ensure its accuracy based on project schedule resource requirements.
Prioritising project repairs to meet customer requirements, risk and opportunity managment through the project lifecycle. Project is governance in line with Life Cycle Management and other company policies.
Preparation of quotations, and communication to the relevant internal stakeholders in order to support the defined requirements.
·Competency of meeting the Project Manager (Entry) knowledge requirements or the PMO Officer knowledge and experience competency levels as defined by the APM Competency Framework.
·Experience of some Project Management techniques and when/how to use them.
·Experience in developing and maintaining internal/external Customer and Supplier relationships.
·Pro-active, dynamic individual with proven stakeholder management, organisational, interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
·Strong experience of using MS Office applications, especially Excel is required.
·Evidence of ability and planning to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
·Energetic, team player, and keen to develop further.
·Experience of using SAP will be of help but is not necessary as training will be provided.
·Experience within planning, engineering, procurement and/or finance functions would be advantageous but not essential.
