About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Pharmacy Training and Clinical Excellence Lead to drive the development of our pharmacy training programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring a robust talent pipeline, effective succession planning, and regulatory compliance. You will lead initiatives that foster leadership, workforce sustainability, and clinical excellence, aligning training interventions with our strategic objectives to enhance operational efficiency and patient care quality.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Strategic Workforce Development: Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and ensure a sustainable pharmacy workforce.
2. Training and Clinical Excellence: Lead initiatives to enhance clinical competencies and operational efficiency across pharmacy teams.
3. Talent Pipeline and Succession Planning: Establish and embed a robust talent pipeline and structured career development pathways.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure training aligns with GPhC, CQC, and MHRA requirements, and uphold clinical governance.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strategic partnerships and influence national pharmacy training policies.
6. Leadership and Development: Drive a culture of professional development, clinical leadership, and innovation within the department.

About You
Qualifications:
* Registered Pharmacist with an MPharm degree.
* Evidence of ongoing CPD as required by GPhC.
* Desirable: Leadership or teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert in Education, ILM, or equivalent).
Experience:
* Extensive post-registration experience in pharmacy practice across various settings.
* Proven strategic leadership in training, workforce planning, and talent development.
* Experience in designing and implementing large-scale pharmacy training programs.
* Strong background in clinical governance, workforce development, and regulatory compliance.
* Desirable: Experience in succession planning, leadership development, and organizational change.
Knowledge:
* Comprehensive understanding of UK pharmacy regulations, including GPhC, CQC, and MHRA standards.
* Expertise in workforce planning, leadership development, and succession management.
* Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based training.
Skills:
* Strategic Workforce Leadership: Ability to develop and execute long-term talent and workforce planning strategies.
* Training and Organizational Development: Expertise in designing high-impact training programs and mentoring high-potential employees.
* Regulatory and Compliance: Ensure workforce compliance with relevant standards and lead clinical governance training.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with regulatory bodies and external partners.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to assess workforce trends and measure training effectiveness.
