This role requires the candidate to be eligible for and obtain security clearance, necessitating UK residency for at least three years.
As part of our Managed Applications Services, we provide day-to-day support for applications running in a mission-critical environment on a 24x7 basis.
We are looking for an individual to join our team that provides support and development to our Command and Control services.In particular, this would focus on the management information components.
The role would include providing day-to-day support for existing services as well as software enhancements as defined by our client.
You will see yourself: Identifying problems and potential resolutions to support end users Analyzing and resolving issues relating to interfaces between various system components Applying ingenuity and creativity in developing enhancements and new areas of functionality Key Qualifications The main technical skills that we require for this role would be experience within Application Support, and willing to be trained on our BIS mapper platform.
You will ideally have some experience in a broad range of web development tools.
More specifically, knowledge of the following technologies would be advantageous: CoolIce, JavaScript, HTML, CSS development or support capability Web Development experience using the above technologies would be advantageous A working knowledge of development frameworks such as MVC, MVVM or similar would be beneficial Oracle development and scripting experience or similar Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Exposure to Pandas dataframe and other Python Data Manipulation packages highly advantageous Data manipulation experience essential to assure success in the role SQL/Relational Database experience is also essential in this role Over and above the technical requirements for this role, we would expect the individual to be able to apply technical expertise within a service delivery environment and be comfortable to develop technical solutions without adversely impacting the operational effectiveness of the supported systems.
You may have a good understanding of ITIL which provides you with the framework to achieving this.
Strong interpersonal skills are expected as you will be communicating regularly with our client.
Any previous experience within Public Sector organisations would be welcomed.
You will be expected to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide 24x7 support of the applications Candidates must be eligible for, and will be required to obtain, CTC clearance for this post
