Client: My client is one of the UK's leading independent building services companies that specializes in several sectors including commercial, education, data centres, healthcare, and retail. Role/Responsibilities:
1. Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor, and consultants)
2. Procurement of subcontractors, kit, and plant
3. Technical submittals
4. RFIs - Liaison with client team, main contractor, and subcontractors
5. Value Engineering where applicable
6. Programming of works - using MS Project or Asta project
7. Health & Safety management (RAMs)
8. Commercial Responsibility, assisting with subcontractor variation accounts working alongside project-specific Quantity Surveyor
9. Management of variations
10. Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers, and supervisors)
11. Progress meetings with subcontractors, client, and internal meetings
12. Overseeing commissioning stages
13. Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
1. Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of Mechanical services
2. Experience working in the Commercial / Government sectors
3. Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISG, Mace, Wates, etc.
