GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the assembly of power and non-power equipped machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Mount components (engines, batteries, wiring harnesses, electronics, burner chambers, control panels, wheels, and subassemblies) on equipment frames.
2. Assemble, bleed, and test hydraulic fluid systems, fuel lines, and brake lines.
3. Perform inspection using measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
4. Possess a good understanding of engines and have the ability to modify for given applications.
5. Perform testing and pre-delivery inspections.
6. Assist with developing and implementing assembly procedures.
7. Have a good understanding of power tools to modify parts for given applications.
8. Manage all required paperwork (Test, checklist, quality inspection, and VIN numbering).
9. Train other assemblers and oversee assembly processes.
10. Maintain good housekeeping.
11. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve all mechanical and electrical issues.
12. Adhere to Core Values and abide by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company including good common sense safety practices.
13. Perform all job assignments as instructed by the Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, Assembly Lead, and/or Vice President, Operations.
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
* One-year certificate from college or technical school; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong mechanical skills required.
* Strong electrical skills required.
* Customer Service Excellence Driven.
* Ability to stand for 10 hours a day and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
* Must possess excellent manual dexterity.
* Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, etc.
* Utilize a wide variety of hand-held tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Team player, self-motivated.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
* Microsoft Office (Visual Basic, Excel, Access, & Word)
* ERP Software (Baan, LN, SAP, JDE, 4th Shift, or similar)
