• Full training and support will be provided in obtaining the Care Certificate (if required)
• You will be based in the out-patient Chemotherapy Unit
• To assist and support members of the multi-professional team in order to provide a high standard of patient - centred care; performing duties without the need for constant direct supervision.

With a base and training at York Oncology/Haematology Outpatients, there will be an opportunity to experience training in an area providing full elite care, to those affected by cancer and its treatments.

As a Healthcare Support Worker at York Hospital, you will be part of a multi-professional team providing high standards of care to our patients. You will maintain and promote patient independence and dignity to ensure each patient receives a positive experience. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you may be expected to work a combination of shifts including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays:
· Early – 07:00-15:00
· Late – 12:00 - 20:00
· Long days - 07:00 - 20:00
· Night – 19:30 - 07:30
