Working Conditions:

The Finance Operations organization collaborates with all parts of Amazon to deliver operations accounting and excellence services, ensuring high controllership at minimal cost. We support systems and processes that ensure accurate payments to suppliers, invoicing of customers, and financial reporting. Amazon is expanding its Healthcare Finance Operations Services to the healthcare industry.
As part of the Amazon Healthcare Global Finance Operations Services team, you will work with talented individuals committed to financial improvement, scalability, and process excellence. To support Amazon Healthcare's growth, candidates should be accountable, set high standards, and focus on improving operations, systems, and processes in partnership with management.
Amazon Healthcare is scaling its primary care services nationwide, supported by teams like the Revenue Cycle team. As a Cash Posting Specialist, your focus will be on reconciling patient accounts accurately and timely, enhancing patient billing experiences, and meeting internal service level agreements and team goals.
Key job responsibilities
1. Ensure insurance payments are posted to the correct patient account in our Healthcare Management System by monthly close.
2. Ensure all Electronic Remittance Advice within Healthcare Management System are properly applied and balanced.
3. Investigate and post insurance and patient refunds.
4. Contribute to healthcare receivables operations management, including cash application, account reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
5. Interface with payers, employers, and patients to resolve accounts receivables timely and accurately.
6. Identify operational opportunities, analyze, recommend, and collaborate with teams to implement improvements.
7. Review and suggest changes to policies and procedures to enhance Accounts Receivables processes.
8. Act as the Voice of the Customer, reporting observed areas for improvement.
9. Participate in developing training materials and quality assurance programs.
10. Adhere to cash posting and productivity standards set by leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
* Minimum 6 months of experience in a cash application role within healthcare.
* At least 6 months of experience in insurance accounts receivable or similar.
* Familiarity with insurance billing and coding.
* Experience in shared services environments with productivity targets.
* Exposure to US healthcare and insurance landscape.
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and receivables management.
* Proven ability to follow policies and procedures as directed.
* Strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with US healthcare and health insurance industry.
* SME level understanding of the end-to-end O2C process.
* Participation in Six Sigma belt, Kaizen, or Lean projects.
