Training will cover 4 main themes: - Audio setup and operation - Video and projection system set up and operation - Lighting set up and operation - 5-star Customer Service training After the intensive training is completed, you will be placed at one of our central London locations where you will continue to learn the requirements of the role on the job, supported by our fantastic venue teams and learning partners. As an AV Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting with the setup and operation of audio, lighting, and video equipment at a range of corporate events. You will work closely with experienced Trainers to learn how to install and operate equipment such as microphones, speakers, projectors, video wall and lighting systems. You will also learn how to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during events. This is a full-time permanent role with expected progression to Technician. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a passion for technology. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. although a keen interest in live events would be beneficial. Before applying please ensure you are comfortable with: - Working hours as an AV Technician can sometimes be at unsociable times (start early, end late, weekends etc) depending on the event schedules. - During the busy times of the year, it is not always possible to have people take annual leave at peak times - Our 5-star corporate events environment requires a professional approach, including strict grooming and uniform standards. We need candidates to be comfortable working in a smart 5-star environment, in which uniform and service standards will be high. - The 9-10 week trainee course will mostly take place at our Uxbridge site. Then, following you passing the course, you will be given a full-time role at one of our central London venues. If you do not think you can commute to Uxbridge for 10-weeks, and then work permanently in London, this role will not be right for you. - AV Technicians at Encore are given a 'home venue' where you will be based for most of the time, however there are also potentially occasions when you might be required to work at other venues where required. Key Job Responsibilities During the training phase : Be prompt, ready and eager to learn, support other trainees when required, show a willingness to improve and develop yourself. - Drive Results - Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section. - Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise. - Do the Right Thing - Complies with all Company security and safety measures. - Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE. - Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite. - At times the technicians will work as part of a team on larger scale projects. Job Qualifications - Mathematics and English GCSE equivalent is preferred. - 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
