Position: School Business Manager (Part-Time)
Location: Various Primary Schools in and around Colchester
Hours: 3 days a week, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: £21 per hour (Temporary Basis)
Type: Temporary to Permanent
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join our team, working across several primary schools in the Colchester area. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
2. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and policies.
3. Manage school administrative functions and support services.
4. Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to support school operations.
5. Implement and monitor health and safety policies.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Business Manager in a school, local government, or NHS setting.
2. Strong understanding of local authority procedures and regulations.
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
5. Commitment to supporting the educational environment and school community.
6. Experience of payroll.
7. Experience of managing budgets.
8. Experience of finding cost cutting solutions.
9. Clean driving licence and a car.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in a similar role within the education sector.
2. Familiarity with financial software and school management systems.
