Salary: £50,000 base, £70,000 OTE (On-Target Earnings), 5% commission on deals closed, plus meaningful equity options.
Are you an ambitious SDR with a passion for strategic sales and a hunger for more ownership and autonomy? We’re hiring on behalf of an exciting VC-backed start-up building the first AI HR Team. With customers across the UK, US, and Canada—including a publicly listed enterprise—this company is on a mission to transform HR operations by leveraging AI agents. This is not your typical SDR role. As the Founding Senior SDR, you’ll co-create a repeatable playbook and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this high-impact position demands strong business acumen, a consultative approach, and a deep understanding of strategic sales processes.
About the Role
As the Founding Senior SDR, your role will involve:
* Strategic Account Targeting: Identifying mid-market and enterprise accounts, researching stakeholders, and building relationships to secure high-value opportunities.
* Multi-Channel Outreach: Developing and executing thoughtful, personalised outreach strategies via LinkedIn, email, and cold calls using tools like Clay and Apollo.
* Multi-thread Engagements: Expanding account relationships to include higher-level decision-makers and champions.
* Driving Deal Momentum: Supporting pipeline progression with tailored messaging and timely touchpoints.
* Sales Playbook Creation: Partnering with the CEO to document and refine the sales process to scale with the company’s growth.
* Collaborating on Marketing: Ensuring alignment with marketing activities, including sponsorships, ads, and webinars.
* Pipeline Development: Building and managing a robust sales pipeline while analysing insights to improve outreach experiments.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a strategic, creative thinker with strong sales expertise and a desire to build from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience: 18–24 months of SDR experience, including time as an SDR Manager, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Sales Expertise: Familiarity with selling SaaS to mid-market and enterprise clients, preferably HR buyers.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to design and execute experiments to optimise results.
* Consultative Approach: Adept at engaging C-level executives with strong business acumen.
* Creative Mindset: Skilled in crafting standout approaches to engage stakeholders.
* Drive and Initiative: Eagerness to co-build a scalable sales playbook and a curiosity about AI’s potential in SaaS.
What You’ll Get
* Competitive Compensation: £50,000 base salary, £70,000 OTE, plus 5% commission on deals closed.
* Equity Options: Meaningful equity to share in the company’s success.
* Generous Benefits: 30 days of annual leave, company pension scheme, personal development budget, access to top-tier sales leaders through the company’s VC network, and top-spec equipment and software.
Why Join?
