MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Projects Commercial Manager for our @One Alliance framework. The @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
What will you be doing as our new Projects Commercial Manager?
As our new Projects Commercial Manager you’ll be accountable for the commercial and cost management for the project from inception to close out reporting directly to the Project Director.
Using your expertise and commercial nous, you’ll challenge current commercial thinking and agreements. You’ll work with to the Project Director and their team on all project matters as you look to leave a positive and lasting impression across the Alliance.
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure robust estimates are provided that are aligned to scope and makes due allowance for all risks and opportunities.
* Manage the procurement process ensuring that all strategies are developed and agreed and that tender processes are followed correctly.
* Subcontractors are properly managed in accordance with contract requirements including: compliance, communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions.
* Ensure robust cost management is undertaken at all times including: accurate live forecasting and actual costs vs estimates.
* Ensure that accurate and trusted records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
* Continually strives to develop processes and procedures to ensure standardisation across the commercial teams delivery process
* Looks to develop members of the team with commercial knowledge and experience gained over numerous years in industry.

Educated to Degree/HNC level or equivalent. RICS/CIOB/CICES Delivery of multiple and or complex projects ranging in values from £100k to multi-million pound projects with experience of the following: Managing/Leading a team Contract administration (working with NEC suite of contracts) Managing change Procurement Risk and opportunity management Negotiation Estimating Stake Holder management Skills Acts as the commercial conscience of the IPL, challenges delivery team Operates fairly, honestly and with integrity Champions collaboration and open communication Value for Money' mentality Takes ownership and leads with a strong commercialfocus on outperformance and contractual requirements, showing an ability to work under pressure whilst supporting the team Positive forward thinking decision maker with the skills to proactively manage the project and the commercial team.
