Administrator Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour paye Location: Blackpool Council Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (3 months) Blackpool Council are looking for an Administrator to support The Platform, our dedicated Youth Hub. This temporary position is based in Blackpool and offers a dynamic work environment where you will be integral to supporting community services. Day-to-day of the role: Serve as the first point of contact for telephone and face-to-face enquiries. Handle financial tasks including reconciling petty cash, receipting card purchases, processing invoices, and raising purchase orders. Collate and monitor customer feedback and perform various ad hoc administrative duties. Provide comprehensive administrative, financial, and organisational services under the guidance of senior staff. Liaise effectively with other staff, partners, and residents. Analyse and evaluate data and information to run reports. Undertake word processing and IT-based tasks, including the operation of relevant equipment and advanced ICT packages. Organise meetings, take notes, and contribute to the planning and development of administrative procedures and systems. Maintain and update records systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in an administrative role. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Proficiency in IT and experience with advanced ICT packages. Experience in handling financial documents and understanding of basic accounting. Ability to analyse data and run reports. Experience in organising meetings and maintaining records systems.
