Senior Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) – Government Building
Location: Fareham
Salary: £33,000 per annum (including on-call allowance, potential annual salary circa £35,000)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
* Shift Pattern: Variable start times between 07:00 – 15:30 and 09:30 – 18:00
* On-Call Rota: 1 in 3 (On-Call Allowance: £147.90 per week)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias to join our team in a key Government building. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary, with the opportunity for career progression within a prestigious organization.
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in the upkeep of essential building systems, working across a range of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, and general facilities management. This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive approach and a thorough understanding of building maintenance within large office environments. You will work as part of a dedicated team providing high-quality service to ensure the operational integrity of the building.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across the building’s systems.
* Perform a variety of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing and other building-related services.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
* Participate in the 1 in 3 on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support as required.
* Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Liaise with the Facilities Management team to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Conduct routine inspections and address any faults or issues identified.
Key Requirements:
* Electrical Qualification: 18th Edition as a minimum.
* Plumbing Knowledge: Some experience or qualifications in plumbing (City & Guilds or equivalent preferred).
* Experience: Previous experience working in large office building environments is preferred.
* Vetting Requirements:
* Basic DBS check on recruitment.
* CTC clearance to be undertaken once in role (ONS requirement).
* UK residency of 3 years or more (ONS requirement).
* Drug & alcohol test to be undertaken within the first month of placement.
* FM Knowledge: Familiarity with VINCI FM and an understanding of our role at ONS is desirable
