We are fortunate to be able to offer a permanent static position in the field of musculoskeletal practice, which will serve as an ideal foundation for anyone wanting to progress their skills in this dynamic area of physiotherapy. As an MSK service we pride ourselves in providing outstanding care to patients across Worcestershire.
We will provide you with resources to develop and progress a long-term career as well as flexibility, continual professional development and a wide range of wellbeing and support offered by the Trust. Clinical Support will be provided within the local team, which includes a wide range of experienced practitioners, including Advanced Practitioners. In addition, support will also be accessible from other band 5s already based within the trust.
If you would like to discuss informally if this is the right role for you, get in touch with Recruiting Manager which can be found on the top right-hand side of the advert.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve patient assessment and delivery of physiotherapy interventions to the adult population of Worcestershire within a busy Physiotherapy department.
You will be required to assess, treat and manage a very varied caseload of patients as we receive referrals from GPs, orthopedics and self-referrals. This will include patients with acute conditions such as fractures and post-surgery, alongside more longstanding MSK conditions such as LBP, OA and tendinopathies.
We would expect you to contribute to high quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based knowledge and skill. There will also be an opportunity to assist with service development and to teach and supervise other clinicians and students and help to shape the future service delivery and workforce.
You can expect personal and professional development through a robust In-service training programme which includes monthly IST, clinical supervision and journal club alongside county wide training sessions and courses with strong links already established between service partners within the county. The Trust provides a structure offering career mobility, coaching and/or mentoring. There is great potential for career growth, learning new skills and being involved with some exciting clinical developments.
