The client is a housing association that provides affordable housing around the Lancashire area
Job Description
1. Responsibility for management and provision of administrative support to the boards and
relevant committees within the Group. Responsible for board administration to ensure
effective forward project planning (up to 18 months), organisation and facilitation of board
and committee meetings (including minute taking) including quality checking of all board
packs.
2. To attend meetings within the governance framework and complete accurate minutes.
3. To support the non-executive directors and trustees in fulfilling their duties.
4. To ensure that key decisions and relevant information from meetings are communicated
to appropriate managers and staff, and followed up where required.
5. Oversee and manage Pentana (audit system) in relation to board and committee actions.
6. To prepare and circulate information and relevant briefings to non-executive directors
outside of board meetings.
7. To ensure that all meetings and activities are carried out in line with company rules,
including providing advice where appropriate to both executive and non-executive
directors on the application of company rules.
The Successful Applicant
* Previous experience working as a governance officer
* Ability to write minutes at board/director level
* Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively
