Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology to KS3 and KS4 students.
Tailor teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and ensure all students reach their potential.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and implementing targeted interventions where necessary.
Maintain strong classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in departmental activities and staff meetings.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the science curriculum.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Specialism in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology with experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students in the sciences.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
