Venatu Recruitment are proud to annonuce that a Leading Client of ours within the animal feed manufacturing industry are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join them at their Coalburn site The client is extremely well-established with 2025 being their 48th year in business and are solidified as a industry leader turning over £150 million per year whilst employing 500 people accross their mulitple sites nationwide They're a key figure in the livestock industry offering animal feed manufacturing services to the agricultural industry in the UK and internationally Due to the busy nature and continued and growth they've consistently seen year on year, they're now looking for an Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join them ASAP This role is paying £42,500 per annum on a days role with plenty overtime available You will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of factory production and manufcturing equipment including general maintenance and installation within the Company's planned preventative maintenance system. You will also be responsible for on line fault finding and process development on a day to day basis with the responsibility of working on one's own initiative during shifts, reporting to the Maintenance Lead. Key Responsibilities: Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team Ensure a fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action Assist and support mechanical engineers with their duties Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste Assist in the training of fellow maintenance engineers, and others where necessary Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved Work on various projects including installation and modifications to plant and equipment Requirements Candidates should have experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment and have an Engineering qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 as a minimum. Qualified 18th edition and Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics. You must have the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis and demonstrate good organisational skills including good IT Skills. Candidates should have a high level of integrity and dependability with the ability to work well within a team and as an individual.
