X4 Release Train Engineers/Managers Needed - Tech Startup - Revolutionary Opportunity
Areti Group is ecstatic to partner with a cutting-edge tech startup that has recently secured Series A funding. We are urgently seeking three Release Train Engineers to join our elite team. With offices in Bristol, Dorset, Southampton, and Somerset, this is your chance to be a part of a truly groundbreaking venture. These roles are fully remote, with all travel expenses covered for occasional trips to attend Engineering and Product Meetups at our office locations.
About the Role
As a Release Train Engineer/Manager, you will be the driving force behind our product development process, ensuring that our groundbreaking features are flawlessly tested, refined, and released. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams—spanning product, design, marketing, and engineering—to oversee and streamline the entire release process, ensuring that every launch meets both internal and customer expectations.
In this role, you’ll focus on the release management aspects of our Agile process. As our teams expand and complexities grow, your role may evolve to include managing SAFe Program Increment (PI) events, where releases are jointly planned and mapped out.
Key Responsibilities
Beta Program Management: Partner with Product Owners, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to prioritize features for beta testing. Strategically plan resources, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks. Ensure smooth beta releases, coordinating training and schedules for internal teams.
Beta Testing Oversight: Serve as the main point of contact during beta phases. Collect and communicate feedback from beta customers, ensuring that our products are thoroughly validated and optimized before full release.
Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution: Collaborate closely with QA teams to maintain the highest standards for beta releases. Track progress, swiftly address any issues, and communicate fixes to customers, driving the beta process forward.
Release Planning & Coordination: Work hand-in-hand with development, product management, and marketing to meticulously plan, schedule, and execute full product releases. Align cross-functional teams for successful outcomes.
Release Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all functionalities, ensuring that every stakeholder has access to up-to-date release roadmaps and plans.
Continuous Improvement: Lead regular ceremonies with Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Designers to refine processes. Expand these sessions to include customers and other stakeholders where beneficial, driving continuous improvement.
Desired Experience
Agile Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Project Management Mastery: Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional at building and nurturing relationships across customers, regulatory services, and internal teams. Strong consensus-building skills across organizational boundaries.
Risk Management Savvy: Skilled at identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure smooth project execution.
Release Management Proficiency: Experienced in planning, executing, and evaluating software releases with precision.
Process Optimization: A proactive approach to enhancing processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
