Dementia Specialist Care and Support Worker

Full time - GBP12.30 p/h (upon completion of all training & compliance)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Dementia Specialist Care & Support Worker to support clients living with a diagnosis of Dementia in all aspects of their day-to-day living. The role will involve primarily working independently at clients' homes delivering personalised, safe, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Aspects of personal care such as showering and bathing, dressing, and grooming, dental hygiene, toileting, and continence care.
* Supporting your clients to eat and drink well.
* The safe usage of personal equipment and aids whilst respecting the dignity of the client.
* Supporting the client with social and physical activities such as staying connected with friends/relatives, shopping and social networking.
* Assisting with medications.
* Responding to emergencies, accidents, incidents, and safeguarding matters, ensuring effective communication with families, carers, and other professionals.
* Keeping all information about clients and their families secure and confidential.
* Working well as part of the Care 24-7 team.
* Attending training activities, supervision, and appraisal meetings.
Requirements:
* Health and Social Care Level 2 minimum.
* Dementia awareness certification at level 2.
* Right to work within the UK.
* Full UK driver's licence.
* Prior experience in a similar role.
* Commitment to ongoing training and development.
* Dedication to supporting individuals living with dementia to enhance their quality of life.
* A good standard of English, both spoken and written, and ability to communicate effectively.
* A warm, compassionate, and personable nature with the ability to work with patience, tact, and understanding.
* Access to a smartphone with internet access.
